About the NSPCC
The NSPCC (National Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Children) is one of the UK's best known childrens charities. The NSPCC believes every child who calls for help should have someone to turn to. The helplines are a lifeline for many vulnerable children. The NSPCC needs your help to ensure they are there to support all children when they need someone to turn. With current funding the NSPCC can only answer two thirds of the 2.3 million calls received from children each year and three quarters of the calls received from adults concerned about the welfare of a child or infants too young to speak for themselves. Every engaged tone may put a child's safety at risk.
